Many viewers have been told stories from a similar perspective, but the show remains exciting here, as it weaves together a more confusing yet well-connected storyline with female lead characters, each of whom confidently holds our attention as they appear. Halfway through, we can’t tell if that sense of urgency as we discover more and more of what’s going on will remain the same, but given the scale, budget, and talent that went into bringing this to the screen, it’s going to be a hard one to miss landing, especially given the series’ solid foundation.
