Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in "Skeleton Crew" plus other stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the same one Chewbacca’s family watches in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978). in Crazy Cartoon Cast AniMat: Stupid Old Death Bear (2022). While I know a lot of hate will be directed at this show due to the ups and downs of recent Star Wars, I’m happy to say that this is an upswing. So far…The first 2 episodes haven’t broken any new ground or been very original, but that’s not a problem because everything works so well. The cast and their performances are great, the costumes/set design are probably the best we’ve seen since Andor, the writing, especially the hilarious banter between the kids, was good. Again, nothing new, but interesting nonetheless, and I’m excited to keep watching. It’s giving me heavy Treasure Planet vibes. As someone who didn’t like the recent Star Wars myself, Skeleton Crew surprised me. I hope anyone who’s even slightly interested, or even annoyed by the recent shows, gives it a chance. Don’t let the “for kids” thing put you off. Star Wars is made for everyone, and so is this one.
